for guide certification with requirements
for continuing education and rigorous
testing. The tourism ordinance and guide-license
process have been studied by cities throughout
the United States seeking to achieve Charleston’s
standard of quality.
Of the over five hundred licensed guides
in the city, CCGS has personally trained
and built a special relationship with
a select few who meet our standard of
excellence. With a command of history
and a passion for the city, our staff
of guides represent the most competent
